Each month, Family Preservation and Child Protection hold a forum for all family preservation service providers, and providers interested in delivering family preservation services in the future. 

With tenders expecting to open in week commencing 9 June 2025, we have cancelled our June monthly sector forum and subsequent forums until further notice. This is to ensure that providers can concentrate efforts on the procurement process and DCJ can provide information in the most appropriate way during procurement. 

While we will not be holding any further briefings ahead of tenders opening, we will be holding specific tender briefings one week after tenders open. Under current timelines this will be during week commencing 16 June 2025. These briefings will cover:

• An overview of the services we are seeking to procure including Families Together, Aboriginal Family Preservation, MST-CAN and FFT-CW
• Service packages detail including the contract volume (places) and contract values, as well as the service delivery locations
• A walkthrough by the Procurement Team on how to use Procurement Central

We will communicate the relevant dates and invitation details of these briefings in the coming weeks

Forum updates are published below. The information published is point in time and is subject to change. DCJ continues to work closely with stakeholders to recommission Family Preservation services.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) (PDF, 215.7 KB) have been developed to assist in understanding the future Family Preservation Program and further recommissioning activities. The FAQs will continue to be updated as recommissioning progresses.
