The Ageing and Disability Commissioner Act 2019 requires the Ageing and Disability Commission to refer certain matters to other agencies. Where we identify that information in a report could be the subject of a complaint to the following agencies, we are required to refer the information to them:
Before making the referral, we will liaise with the reporter, wherever possible, to seek consent for their details to be provided to the other agency. Where the reporter does not provide consent, we will still refer the issues to the other agency, but exclude any identifying information relating to the reporter.
The Ageing and Disability Commission is also required to report certain matters to NSW Police. Where we identify that information in a report may provide evidence of a criminal offence, we are required to refer that information to NSW Police.
If you have any further questions about our required referrals to other agencies, please email nswadc@adc.nsw.gov.au.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
Informed by lessons of the past, the Ageing and Disability Commission is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
You can access our apology to the Stolen Generations.
