Information about the recent data breach
The Department of Communities and Justice takes data security extremely seriously and acted with urgency to identify and implement mitigation strategies to contain the breach. We are now assessing the documents involved and will contact affected individuals as quickly as possible.
The matter has been reported to Cyber Security NSW and the NSW Police Cybercrime Squad and is subject to an active police investigation.
Online training is available to better support staff, volunteers and community members with the skills to confidently and competently identify and respond to concerns of abuse, neglect and exploitation of an older person or adult with disability, specifically within the family, home and community and where it relates to the conduct of a family member, partner or informal carers and supports.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
Informed by lessons of the past, the Ageing and Disability Commission is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
You can access our apology to the Stolen Generations.
