Equal access to information

Ensuring anyone who speaks a language other than English can access information in their language is an important component to the work of the NSW Ageing and Disability Commission.

We have information to help you learn more about us and our service in the following languages:

Interpreter and translation services

The NSW Ageing and Disability Commission has an obligation to provide qualified and trained interpreters when conducting interviews, discussing complex matters, or when dealing with sensitive issues.

In most cases, family and friends cannot act as interpreters but can stay during an interview or meeting to provide support (if appropriate).

If you need help because English is not your first language, use the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) on 131 450. The service covers more than 150 languages. There is no charge for the service.
